Virtual Grand Rounds - April 23, 2026
This semiannual Virtual Grand Rounds brings together participants from all eight USACS residency programs. The April session will focus on OB/GYN topics, addressing the full spectrum of maternal, neonatal, and reproductive health emergencies through a combined lecture format. Content will range from the clinical management of complicated deliveries and neonatal resuscitation to discussions of the policy and legal considerations that impact the care of pregnant patients. Participants will develop competency in obstetric delivery, neonatal resuscitation, postpartum complications, and maternal cardiac arrest, while also gaining insight into the legal, ethical, and regulatory frameworks that shape reproductive health care in the emergency department. Collectively, the curriculum emphasizes rapid decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient safety, and evidence-based care in high-risk, time sensitive scenarios. This program equips emergency physicians to provide confident, legally informed, and compassionate care to pregnant and postpartum patients and their newborns, regardless of clinical complexity or jurisdictional challenges.
