The Center for Emergency Medical Education (CEME) was established in 1994 to provide educational opportunities for emergency physicians and allied health professionals, with the ultimate goal of improving emergency healthcare in our communities.
CEME is the educational arm of Emergency Physicians Medical Group (EPMG) and Emergency Medicine Physicians (EMP). To date, CEME has sponsored over 110 courses with total registrations exceeding 14,000 physicians. CEME currently provides over 53,000 CME credits annually. Areas of specific expertise include pediatric emergency medicine, risk management, cost containment, length of stay, patient satisfaction, and emergency medicine board preparation.
Mission
CEME exists for the purpose of providing high quality emergency medical educational programs designed to enhance the knowledge of emergency physicians, improving their ability to practice emergency medicine safely and effectively.
The overall purpose of our CME activities is to enhance the knowledge of emergency physicians, improving their ability to practice emergency medicine safely and effectively. Our courses focus on risk management to include education about high risk clinical emergency medicine topics and board examination review and preparation for emergency physicians. Our target audience is physicians practicing emergency medicine. We primarily provide educational courses with nationally recognized speakers with evidence based content and thorough syllabi. We also provide an internal, electronic CME newsletter to our physician partners and employees.
Our goal with all of our programs is to improve the knowledge base of our course participants, as identified by the course objectives, ultimately improving their ability to practice emergency medicine safely and effectively.
